Value

A string containing the local name of the current node or, for node types that do not have a name (like Text, Comment , and so on), string.Empty.

Remarks

This property is read-only.

The local name is equivalent to XmlTextReader.Name with XmlTextReader.Prefix and the ':' character removed. For example, XmlTextReader.LocalName is "book" for the element <bk:book>.

Note:

This property overrides XmlReader.LocalName.
