System.IO.File.OpenWrite Method

Opens an existing file for writing. [Edit]

Parameters

path
A string containing the name of the file to be opened for writing. [Edit]

Returns

A writable System.IO.FileStream that writes to the file specified by path. [Edit]

Remarks

This method is equivalent to System.IO.FileStream (path, FileMode.OpenOrCreate, FileAccess.Write, FileShare.None ).

The path argument is permitted to specify relative or absolute path information. Relative path information is interpreted as relative to the current working directory.

Note: To obtain the current working directory, see Directory.GetCurrentDirectory.
